Fatima eventually recalls the events that led her to the detention facility she is in after a disastrous refuge experience. As her mind begins to take control of her emotions, she recalls her sister entering her room, attempting to wake her up and get her out of the house, which had been ravaged by a hurricane. Hurricane Eta wreaked havoc on her, her family, and her country, Honduras.
